“Mimi Kato: One Ordinary Day of an Ordinary Town” at Conduit Gallery

This article struck me as a very interesting exhibition of a combination of many different pieces of Japanese culture and art. Mimi Kato uses her past hybrid digital landscapes she created and adds herself as one of the many characters that are included in the landscape images. This contemporary method and characters creating the intriguing narratives involve her childhood memories as well as Japanese newspapers. This article explains her detail method of how she creates these images and why they include characters of a certain expression or attire  It is so amazing to see such a fantastic artist bring up such combination of two distinctively different types of work. This Exhibition of Kato is surely something I would want to further observe.
