10/24 – Lenscratch

Latin America Week: Alejandro Medina
While going through the Latin American Week Articles, the most compelling to me was Alejandro Medina's work which presented a new perspective in seeing cultural change though a natural process and giving this subject a new meaning. The Article is about how Medina's culture affects his work and his meaning towards life through objects from the ocean that have been shaped by the waves which he defines as our cultural environment shaping ours. His work is very interesting especially from his eyes at the age of 17 and how deeply his meaning is towards his artwork. This is definitely something to see and take in deeply our own meanings and values in our own lives.
